Permits For City of Puyallup Only
As of January 1st, the following activities need to be permitted through the Central Pierce Fire & Rescue Prevention Division located at Station 71, 902 - 7th St. NW, Puyallup WA 98371. Fire Prevention line: 253-538-6402.
Open Flame- Candles –use of candles for decoration and ceremony.
Open Flame- Cooking
Public Assembly-Interim Events- gathering of 50 or more persons for an activity.
Tents & Temporary Membrane Structures- any tent, awning or membrane structure 200 sq ft or 400 sq ft canopy.
Temporary Stands – fire work stand, Xmas tree stand, rock chip repair, flowers, etc.
Hot Works- cutting and welding, hot tarring of roofs.

Hazardous Material Storage & Handling –according to IFC permissible quantities fees calculated by formula according to amount stored, used or handled by business within the City of Puyallup. A hazardous material inventory sheet will be issued to businesses by a Deputy Fire Marshal upon inspection and must be completed to ascertain permit fees.

ANCILLARY FEES:
Inspection Fees $80 an hour
Plan Review Fees $40 for 1st ½ hr.
